Belvin Construction Ltd were approached by our client to provide the services to construct a new one-off dwelling to meet their needs but also adhere to the strict planning restriction implemented by the planning authority. The dwelling features traditional red-facing brickwork with lime mortar to provide the authentic look desired by the client and planners. The main roof was covered with clay pantiles. A hand-cut solid timber porch was constructed on-site and installed to provide a stunning external feature point along with a useful primary entrance area. Engineered timber windows have been installed to the front elevation and modern powder coated aluminium windows installed to the rear to perfectly balance the traditional and contemporary styles. There is a flat roof section to the rear of the dwelling covered over with a Bauder-certified green roof. Inside, the dwelling has been completed to a modern, clean finish completed with a solid oak staircase. Primary heating is provided by an underfloor heating system to both the ground and first floors. We have installed a sloping, block paved driveway, featuring gravelled parking areas to the front.
