Belvin worked with Stem Architects, Ward Cole Engineers, & Thornton Firkin contract administrators to deliver the facility back to a functional building for the local area where children can have a safe place to visit and function rooms can be let.

The works consisted of removing existing cladding to roofs and walls, groundworks, extension steel frame and boxed sections, new roofing and cladding, render, windows and doors, paths and associated parking, new services, M&E, Joinery, plastering, decorations, flooring, IPS systems, Moveable partitions and cleaning.

This development was completed in the middle of housing estate with limited space for parking therefore to retain relationships with existing residents we had update meetings as liaison officers to limit the impact and update on progress.

The works were completed for our long standing client YMCA Lincolnshire and was the last of their capital project builds for 2024..

The site is now a thriving space for all to enjoy and connect with the local residents where children and adults can enjoy sports, social, and just have a conversation when required in a safe space with the YMCA Lincolnshire team.

The build has been upgraded with insulated walls, ceiling, roofs, to provide longevity to the investment and a sustainable delivery of the overall scheme.

At YMCA Lincolnshire we are so excited about this amazing development. For us, the vision to return a dedicated youth space to the St Giles Estate has been well over two years in the making. Seeing Belvin’s wonderful work coming to fruition helping us to give young people in this often overlooked area of the city a dynamic and exciting new place to go is simply wonderful
